New Date/LocationOriginal Date/LocationWhy Changed
2002.03.21 - London, UKNothing.Fan Club 65 reveals the band played Top of the Pops earlier in the day prior to that evening's performance at Brixton Academy.
1982.07.03 - Buffalo or Chicago, USA1982.07.03 - Buffalo, USAGary Bushell and recent Iron Maiden publications state the band played in Buffalo, but the Japanese tour program says Chicago. It is unlikely the band played back to back nights in Chicago.
1982.06.13 - New Orleans, USA
1982.06.27 - Philadelphia, USA
1982.08.20 - Albuquerque, USA
1982.08.21 - Phoenix, USA
1982.08.22 - Tucson, USA
1982.09.08 - Missoula, USA
Nothing.Japanese tour program includes these dates.
1983.06.10 - Shifflange, Luxembourg1983.06.10 - Shifflange, LuxembourgFan Club Magazine 6 states the band cancelled a "few" gigs in Europe in June. This is likely a reference to Kerkrade and Brussels. It only makes sense that the gig between these two was also cancelled.
1980.08.31 - Genova, Italy1980.09.01 - Genova, ItalyKiss Alive! by Gooch and Suhs claims that Kiss played with Iron Maiden in Genova on 31 August, and on 1 September, Kiss flew to Munich to record some songs for the RockPop television show.
1982.03.30 - Montpellier, France
1982.03.31 - Toulouse, France
1982.03.30 - Montpellier, France
1982.03.31 - Toulouse, France
In Fan Club Magazine 3, Bruce claims the band "pulled out" of three gigs in southern France because of a collective band illness. More specifically, Gary Bushell wrote in his book on page 103 that the band cancelled three gigs along the Cote d'Azur, which is the southeast coast of France. The band was only scheduled to play one gig in this area - Nice. However, the band's gig in Montpellier is on the southwest coastline, and the gig following that - Toulouse - is within reasonable driving distance from the southwest coast. No other gigs are nearby the Cote d'Azur, so these three must be the ones talked about by Gary Bushell. One problem - the band did play Nice - a bootleg in circulation has Bruce clearly saying "Bonsoir Nice." So, this begs the question - did the band postpone the Nice gig until 1 April (the only open date between Toulouse and Barcelona), or did the band play Nice on the originally scheduled date, and then cancel Montpellier, Toulouse, and an unknown location along the Cote d'Azur? The band did have an open date (29 March) between Nice and Montpellier in which they could have squeezed in a show in Toulon or Marseille.
1991.03.07 - Sakatoon, CanadaNothing.A clipping of an advertisement from a magazine shows the band had intended to play this location. However, tour merchandise does not include this location, so it is likely it was never finalized or it was cancelled.
1990.11.24 - Bern, Switzerland
1990.11.25 - Grenoble, France
1990.11.26 - Toulouse, France
1990.11.28 - Toulouse, France
1990.11.29 - Marseille, France
1990.11.30 - Turin, Italy
1990.12.01 - Udine, Italy
1990.11.24 - Grenoble, France
1990.11.26 - Tolouse, France
1990.11.28 - Marseilles, France
1990.11.29 - Turin, Italy
Several different magazine advertisements reveal the correct dates for the France gigs. A ticket stub reveals that Toulouse was originally scheduled for 26 November, but it was later re-schedculed for 28 November as evidenced on a sticker with the new date attached to the ticket. Fan Club 31 also confirms the changes in the itinerary. The Bern date is added because of Fan Club 31's listing of it. Udine is added because of a post-tour itinerary revealing the date was originally intended. It is likely that Udine was cancelled before tickets were sold.
1982.11.13 - Adelaide, Australia1982.11.12 - Adelaide, AustraliaTicket stub verifies the correct date.
1996.01.14 - Gozo, MaltaNothing. In Fan Club Magazine 49, the tour review mentions a gig between Athens and Italy played at the Thunder Rock in Gozo, Malta.
1995.12.18 - Frankfurt, GermanyNothing. In Fan Club Magazine 52, Blaze describes a gig being played in Frankfurt on Monday, 18 December.
1992.07.21 - Santiago, Chile1992.07.23 - Santiago, ChileFan Club Magazine 37 states that the band cancelled their gig in Santiago originally planned for 21 July.
1988.11.25 - Whitley Bay, UK (likely did not happen)1988.11.25 - Whitley Bay, UKConsidering that a multitude of sources exclude this date, chances are it did not happen unless the band added it at the last moment.
1988.10.?? - New Zealand and Australia
1988.11.?? - Japan
Nothing.A tour program reveals that the band planned for these shows, but Fan Club Magazine 27 says the Far East leg of the tour was cancelled.
1988.08.08 - Landover, USA1988.08.07 - Landover, USATour programs reveal this date to be the 8th, not the 7th. Columbia was scheduled for the 8th according to the Fan Club Magazine 25, but it didn't list a reschedule date for Landover, thus making the Tour program the more likely correct source.
1988.11.04 - Drammen, NorwayNothing.A tour program reveals this date, but a later program changes it to the 5th.
1988.07.09 - Utica, USA
1988.07.12 - Binghampton, USA
1988.07.23 - Greensboro, USA
1988.08.08 - Columbia, USA

1988.08.25 - Prague, Czechoslovakia
1988.08.08 - Columbia, USA
1988.08.25 - Prague, Czechoslovakia
Fan Club Magazine 25, which came out after these dates would have been played, lists them on the tour itinerary. An interview of Steve Harris is listed in the magazine as having been conducted on 8 July, and this suggests the tour dates listed are probably the most up to date available of anything put out by the band during the tour. The magazine also states that Donington is only a "few weeks away." However, these dates are not listed on the US or European tour programs, and the programs include the rescheduled Landover gig and exclude the cancelled Allentown, Atlanta, Landover, Columbia, and Prague gigs, thus suggesting the tour programs have the most up to date information at the time. Plus, the Utica and Binghampton New York dates are conspicuously absent from the New York 88 tour shirt.
1985.02.06 - Knoxville, USA1985.02.06 - Knoxville, USAFan Club Magazine 12 reveals that the promoter cancelled the show.
1982.02.27 - Cardiff, UKNothing.30 January article in Sounds reveals that the show was cancelled due to the roof collapsing at Sophia Gardens.
1984.10.13 - Hammersmith, UKNothing.A magazine article from 1984 lists that the band is scheduled for five dates at Hammersmith from 8 to 13 October, but tour programs and other info reveal the band only played the four dates from 8-12 October.
1982.10.18 - Largo, USA1982.10.17 - Landover, USA (date may actually be the 18th)30 October 1982 edition of Billboard confirms the correct date and location. Largo and Landover are neighboring cities and are often cited interchangeably.
1980.06.03 - Portsmouth, UK1980.06.03 - Portsmouth, UKAfter a second ticket stub surfaced showing the date crossed out and '1 July' written on it, IMOC member 'The Beast' claims he had bought a ticket for the 3 June show, but it was cancelled. He says he was told to use the same ticket for entrance into the 1 July show, which he attended. This is corroborated by a 10 May 80 Sounds article which states that the band changed its Portsmouth gig to 1 July.
1983.11.19 - Dusseldorf, Germany
Nothing.
A ticket stub reveals this date. A fan who attended the show crossed out the date on the ticket and wrote in the rescheduled date.
1976.?? or 1977.?? - Ramsgate, UKNothing.Stenning lists in his book that when Dennis Wilcock was in the band, they played the Stars and Stripes pub in Ramsgate.
1980.10.12 - Drammen, NorwayNothing. The Kiss Alive tour history claims that this show was planned, but later scheduled for 13 October before tickets were sold.
1980.09.26 - Lille, France
1980.10.06 - Karlsruhe, Germany
1980.09.26 - Lille, France
1980.10.06 - Karlsruhe, Germany
The Kiss Alive tour history claims these shows were cancelled.
2006.12.10 - London, UKNothing. The band performed a live studio session for "a C4 TV recording Live at Abbey Road" for later broadcast, according to Rod Smallwood.
1996.07.06 - Ringe, Denmark1996.07.06 - Odense, Denmark A Danish news clipping points out that the gig was at the Midtfyns Festival, and Ole Frostholm pointed out that this festival is held in Ringe, not nearby Odense.
1979.07.03 - Stratford, UKNothing.A news clipping reveals this date/location.
1977.03.10 - London, UKNothing.A Roxy flyer confirms this show was scheduled and subsequently cancelled.
1983.04.28 - Stuttgart, Germany (often incorrectly cited as Stoccarda, Itay)1983.04.28 - Stuttgart, Germany (this show likely did not happen; often incorrectly cited as Stoccarda, Itay)A German fan sent information that the show did happen at a place called the Gustav-Siegle-Haus and that he heard a clip of a recording of the show from a German trader about 15 years ago.
1993.03.30 - Berlin, Germany (rescheduled for 11 April)Nothing.A ticket stub reveals this date. The date change to 11 April is confirmed by a flyer claiming "Achtung Neuer Termin," meaning "Attention New Date."
1982.04.28 - Offenbach, Germany1982.04.28 - Offenbach, GermanyA ticket stub confirms the correct location.
1981.04.09 - Offenbach, Germany1981.04.09 - Kassel, GermanyA ticket stub confirms the correct location.
1984.10.24 - Essen, Germany
1983.10.24 - Essen, Germany
This information was originally based on a ticket stub. However, it was brought to my attention that the date is clearly a typo because the support act is listed as Motley Crue, which means that the date for the ticket needs to be 1984, not 1983. Not only that, the rest of the date is incorrect, too, because the band played Essen on 26 October. It seems likely that the show was originally scheduled for the 24th and later moved to the 26th.
1980.11.29 - Sheffield, UK1980.11.29 - Sheffield, UKA Sounds article printed on 6 December 1980 claims this date was cancelled because Paul had a throat infection.
1980.06.24 - Norwich, UK Nothing.A Sounds article printed on 10 May 1980 reveals this date.
1980.06.22 - Swansea, UK
1980.06.29 - Brighton, UK
1980.06.22 - Brighton, UK
1980.06.29 - Swansea, UK
This one was a mess. News articles showing tour itineraries revealed that the planned dates were for Brighton on the 22nd and Swansea on the 29th. However, a ticket stub for Swansea showed a date of 29 June, while a flyer for Brighton also showed the same date. This confusion has been cleared up by a Sounds article printed after the original tour itineraries had been revealed. On 10 May 1980, Sounds reported that the dates for Brighton and Swansea had been changed to 22 June for Swansea and 29 June for Brighton.

1980.03.02 - Birmingham, UK
A 2 February 1980 news clipping from Sounds claims that the band had postponed all of its Metal for Muthas dates from 13 February onward so the band could go record their album. The band was supposed to tour through early March with Praying Mantis. The Praying Mantis website has a roadie tour diary that claims the last show played with Maiden was on 11 February. Additional proof that the last half of the Metal for Muthas dates were postponed is an advertisement from Sounds printed on 3 February which show a tour itinerary ending on the 13th of Feburary.

1979.06.25 - Camden Town, UK
or
1979.07.02 - Camden Town, UK
Nothing.News clipping from Melody Maker reveals this date, however it is confusing. The publication date is 30 June, and in the Monday column for up-coming concerts is another band next to Iron Maiden's listing, and the other band is listed as to play on 25 June. The Monday column was supposed to refer to 2 July, and it may have been a typo on the part of the newspaper. It also could have been an accidental re-run of the prior week's concert listings. So, either date could be correct.
1993.05.01 - Rome, ItalyNothing. There are two Rome 1993 recordings from clearly different shows. The rumored is that one of the shows was a short set at the May Day festival on 1 May.
1980.06.29 - Swansea, UK1980.06.29 - Swansea or Brighton, UKTicket stub confirms the correct location. However, there is a flyer for the same date listing Brighton as the location. There is a small possibility that the flyer is correct, despite stastics showing that ticket stubs tend to be more reliable than flyers.

Nothing. An advertisement in the January 1994 edition of Melodie shows that the band scheduled a tour called "Live on Stage." The band never played these shows, probably due to Blaze's automobile accident.
1983.10.24 - Essen, GermanyNothing.A ticket stub confirms that the band had made plans to start their European leg earlier than they acutally did. It is very likely that the European leg was rescheduled so the band could fit in makeup dates for shows cancelled earlier in the US leg of the tour.
Nothing.1981.04.20 - Saarbrucken, GermanyInvestigation of a bootleg for this date, titled Cross-Eyed Mary, shows that the recording is just a collection of b-sides. Further investigation of the band's tour shows the band never scheduled a show for that location and date. It is extremely unlikely the band added it later in the tour becuase of amount of travel the band would have had to do.

1988.08.20 - Donington, UK 1988.08.22 - Donington, UK A stage pass and fan accounts and newspaper accounts confirm the date as the 20th. The mistake was probably because of a mixup with the 1992 Donington gig, which was on 22 August.
1988.08.17 - London, UK1988.08.20 - London, UKBased on a ticket stub confirming the correct date, and the change in the Donington date.
1991.03.10 - Salem, USA1991.03.22 - Portland, USAA Salem newspaper reported the band was scheduled to play on 10 March. Portland newspapers make no mention of Iron Maiden. Additionally, fan Chris Noon emailed me and said he attended the Salem show on 10 March.

Nothing.Added based on fan accounts, a ticket stub, and a t-shirt.
1991.09.21 - Paul Ricard, France 1991.07.26 - Paul Ricard, France Based on gig reviews for the show found in Hard Rock Magazine, Metal Hammer, and Hard Force magazine. Also, there is an advertisement for the show in Rock & Folk Magazine.
1987.03.10 - Milwaukee, USA1987.03.08 - Milwaukee, USABruce says in the live recording that the band played Madison the night before, and they are going to play Chicago the following night.
1981.06.26 - Milwaukee, USA1981.06.22 - Milwaukee, USAA Milwaukee Public Library librarian discovered a Summerfest flyer with the dates being 25 June - 5 July and an article that mentions Iron Maiden played on the 26th.
As a result, all the dates from 9 June through 21 July had to be adjusted based on the dates listed in Gary Bushell's book.

1979.09.10 - Camden Town, UK 1979.09.10 - Camden Town, UKThis show was mistakenly listed as questionable because some believe the date to be 17 September. There is no doubut that the show is a different recording from anything else on the tour. The only question is if the date is the 10th or the 17th. The legacy factor suggests the date is the 10th.

1987.03.06 - Kansas City, USA1987.03.06 - Kansas City, USAIt was discovered by Zdeno that the KC 87 and Wichita 87 recordings are actually the same gig. Bruce calls out Wichita throughout the show, so it is assumed the recording is the 4 February 1987 Wichita gig.
1982.05.22 - Cleveland, USA1982.05.22 - Cleveland, USA The Cleveland recording circulating has been commonly traded as 3 August. However, there is anecdotal evidence that suggests that the correct date is 22 May. Bruce mentions in the gig "so they call this place Richfield," which suggests this is the band's first time at that venue on the tour, and not the second. Even more compelling is Bruce's comment "Detroit's got nothing on this place." The band played Detroit on 14 May, which is a week before the Cleveland gig on 22 May, which would explain why Bruce has Detroit still on his mind.
